The Cotswold Rose

The Cotswold Rose

There are two perfect partners for this colour-filled and fragrant Cotswolds tour. The first is the Blenheim Palace Flower Show (mid-June) and the other is the Hampton Court Flower Show (early July).  The gardens selected are among the finest in England and because of their excellence, none of the visits will be rushed.  With lunch at one of them, a traditional Sunday lunch here and a pub supper there, this tour will appeal to anglophile garden lovers who want a closer green fingered look at their old friend Britain.  Highlights include:

  • A circular tour of north Cotswolds village and market towns with a traditional Sunday lunch in one of them
  • Tea and Cakes at a privately owned garden opening as part of the National Garden Scheme
  • The glorious award winning garden at Kiftsgate Court (pictured)
  • The famous Arts and Crafts garden at Hidcote Manor
  • Privately owned Sudeley Castle, a former winner of the Historic Houses Association/Christies Garden of the Year Award
  • A free day in the ancient Roman city of Bath
  • The Abbey House, one of the great gardens of the world
  • A full day at either the Blenheim Palace or Hampton Court Flower Shows
